A lovely hotel in a great location

We recently spent 3 nights at this hotel and were really impressed. The room was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and lots of useful amenities and extras. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fresh with lots of options. The location was perfect for the airport bus and also for visiting the cultural quarter of Madrid. We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this NH hotel in Madrid for a quick overnight. Although we had a small room, it was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was perfect for us before we continued our journey in Spain the next morning. It is across the street from the Madrid Atocha train station so it was a perfect location!

Not a good experience. We arrived from an overnight flight prior to 8am. Cold and dark outside. The front desk was not helpful telling us about a place that we could find a place to eat and sit down (the lobby is very small). After the front desk told us everything would be closed at that time on a Sunday, we were allowed to sit for coffee at the restaurant but asked to leave an empty restaurant soon after finishing the coffee. Only after this, the front desk offered entering the room early if we paid 39€. We left the hotel, only to find at least two cafes open a few steps from the hotel— that is something the front desk should know about the neighborhood. We ended canceling the reservation without entering the room. Great location across the street from the train station BUT the staff made the experience poor. Not hospitable at all.

Stayed 5 nights in the hotel for a business trip. Location was good for the conference, but about 30 min walk from the city center. I had a smallish room with a small window, but it was clean. The bathroom was clean and very good with a shower, but no bath. Breakfast was good with many choices. If anything I would have preferred a little more vegetables. The only thing that was not to my liking was the bed. It was too hard for me, but not in any way bad.

Location is good, but rooms are tiny. The sound insulation could be better as well. There is a major bus transport hub in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was notably inferior to those we have enjoyed in other NH hotels - and for less money!
